Quality inbound links are very important to the page rank your site will receive. Follow the steps below and you will be on your way to getting your page rank a boost in the right direction.

1.Install the Google Toolbar http://toolbar.google.com This will enable you to see the page rank of the site you are looking at.

2.Now do a search in Google for your top keywords.

3.Now start with the top of the list. Open each search result and see if it is related to your site. If it is write down the site url, the administrators email and the url of the sites link page. Do this for the first page or two of results looking for sites with a page rank of at least 1.

4.Take your list and start to email all the site admins asking for a link exchange. It may help if you link to their site before you ask to exchange links. Also make sure your not asking one of your competitors for a link exchange.

5.Now do a search in Google for "add site" "site submit" "add url" and some of your keywords. Your search should look like this Example: "site submit basketball". You should get a list of directories to add your site to. Submit your site to as many as you can that have a page rank of at least 1.

6.Make a list of all your top competitors and check where they get all their quality links from by entering their sites url in the iWEBTOOL Back Link Checker http://www.iwebtool.com/backlink_checker take those results and check out all the sites that link to them and see if you can also get inbound links by doing a link exchange or if you find review sites your site for review.

Now you should have quite a few quality inbound links to your site.
