Lipstick always looks best when your lips are nice and smooth. To keep your lips smooth exfoliate them and always wear some type of lip balm when not wearing lipstick. Start by applying lip liner to define the shape of your lips and make them larger. By the way you can use it to make your lips look smaller too. Make sure your lip pencil is nice and sharp so as to create a very narrow line.

Use lip liner to outline the natural lines of your lips and then fill in the lips with a color that blends with your lipstick. This little trick will keep your lipstick in place. Never go outside the natural lines of your lips in an attempt to make your lips look larger. Lip liner will keep your lipstick away from the fine lines around your mouth, which will keep your lipstick from bleeding.

To make lips look larger follow the outer edge of the natural lip line making sure not to go over the natural lip line. To make lips look smaller follow the inside of the natural lip line. Lipstick will stay on longer if the whole lip is filled in with lip liner before lipstick is applied. If you decide to use this technique, be aware that darker lip liner will darken the look of your lipstick. And, if you are going for a light look use a light lip liner.

Long-wearing lip colors are rising in popularity, so a wider range of colors are becoming available. They provide medium to full coverage, so there's no need to feel as though you have to reapply to achieve a fresh look. Use a lip brush to apply the color and make sure you distribute evenly. Allow it to dry by waiting a couple of minutes. Because it tends to be somewhat drying to the lips, most long-wearing lip colors come with lip gloss so you can apply a thin layer after the color has dried completely.

Whether you would like your lips to be full or thin, you can create your lip's shape by using lip liner. First, you should always match your liner to the color of your lipstick. When applying your lipliner, always start at the center of your upper lip and go to the extreme outer corner. If you have really thin lips, you can make them look larger by slightly overlining, and never use lipstick that is a dark color, because this will make your lips look thinner.

Remember, if you like to get perfect nude lips, please ensure that other parts of your face are having healthy reddish color and your eyes look bolder such that you look more lively and younger. If you were to attend a grand dinner or glamorous event, just go all out with your eyes make up. A pair of smoky eyes perhaps.

Lip liner can be a lifesaver. Lip liner serves two main purposes. It solves size and shape problems. It reins in your color. Thin lips? Following the lip line, outline your natural lip shape slightly beyond the edge of your lip. Thick lips? Lucky you. If you think they're too thick (is there really such a thing?), try the opposite.

Following your lip line, outline your natural lip shape just inside the edge of your lip.
