So the relationship was messy and maybe the breakup was worse, and now you might be sitting in a situation that you never thought possible: you may be trying to figure out how to get over your ex girlfriend. When you break up with someone who was important to you, you might find that one way to get over them is to take a look and weed out some of the more emotionally-charged reminders of them. Some personal photographs might fall into this, as do things that only serve to remind you of her, rather than any real practical purpose. If you run into something that you can bear to get rid of, take the time to figure out why; this might be quite important when it comes to telling you how you really feel.
