Aids-related lymphoma is a severe disease which affects different parts of the body and requires a special treatment in order to improve the body system and also to prevent the spreading of the affection to other tissues and organs. Secondly, another well know treatment of cancer is radiation theraphy. This type of treatment uses high-energy x-ray or other types of radiations which fight against the infected cells. In addition to this, there are two types of radiation therpy: internal radiation therapy which is used directly on the organs or tissues with cancer and also external radiation therapy that use a special machine which sends radiations toward the cencer cells.

High-dose chemotherapy with stem cell transplant includes a serie of elaborated procedures. Firstly, immature blood cells are removed from the blood or bone marrow of the patient or a donor and are frozen and stored. The next step includes the placing of the cells back to the patient after the chemotherapy is completed.

Furthermore, other types of treatments which are being tested in clinical trials are the treatments which include monoclonal antibody, an efficient medications for the person who can tolarate chemotherapy or radiation therapy. Monoclonal antibodies are given by infusion and by attaching them to the substances, the cancer cells are reduced and their spreading is stopped. Much more this type of medication can be used alone or to carry drugs or radioactive material toward the affected cells.
