Why Do All Guys Want A Challenge?

I've been thinking about the types of girls I have hit on in the past and I realized something very interesting. I usually hit on the girls that don't want anything to do with me and don't really pay attention to the girls who want me.

It's so messed up that human beings always want something they can't have. Why is this? Why don't we simply accept what we have and be happy living in that time frame. Why is there a constant need to want to move up, challenge ourselves and go into the unknown? In school, most people want to learn something they have never learned before. You'd be crazy to think that you would be interested in learning the same old thing all the time.

The girls I am most attracted to are the one's who really don't want me. Why the hell do I expose myself to such abuse when I could easily get a girl who is into me. It really has nothing to do with looks. There are so many good looking girls who have approached me in my lifetime and so many not so good looking girls I tried to approach.

Why is it that we always want something that we can't have? Should this be a life lesson to everyone to become the person that everyone wants but can't have? I don't know, it's such a messed up psychological concept that we don't really want the people who want to be with us and we want to be with the people who don't want to be with us. Is this just immaturity speaking? Will I eventually start settling down with the girls who like me? Or will I continue to chase the girls who offer continued abuse? I don't know. At the core level, it's all the same thing when you think about it.
