If you like to keep up to speed with the British National Lottery results then getting the latest iPhone application could be the perfect solution.

The National Lottery iPhone application is now available to download direct to your iPhone, iTouch or simply to iTunes. This free application allows you to check the latest UK Lottery results and prize winner information so you can keep on top of how your numbers are doing. You can view all the National Lottery draws in the palm of your hand, wherever you are, at any time of the day.

You can use this application to check your Lottery ticket to see if any of the balls drawn match the numbers you chose so you need never again wonder if your numbers have proven lucky or not.

The application includes a random ticket generator which is a handy alternative to playing a lucky dip.

The National Lottery iPhone application also lists all the British Lottery results since the very first draw in 1994 so if you are trying to spot a pattern, or work out which numbers are luckier than others, this is the perfect way of doing so.

Some numbers seem to be luckier than others when it comes to the National Lottery. You could be in with a chance of joining the thousands of millionaires who have already won the Lottery by seeing how lucky your chosen numbers are.

The number that has been drawn most frequently since the lottery first started is ball number 38. This number has been drawn a total of 256 times; 209 as one of the main balls and 47 times as the bonus ball.

To increase your chances of a winning combination, the second number drawn most frequently is 25. So far, the number 25 has been drawn a total of 235 times; 196 times one of the main balls and 39 times as the bonus ball. Other numbers which have appeared more often than others include 31, 23 and 9.

For an even better chance of selecting a winning combination, it also helps to know which numbers have been drawn least frequently for the lottery. Anyone who is slightly superstitious may not be surprised to know that the number 13 is the number drawn the least.

Since the National Lottery was launched in 1994, the number 13 has been drawn 146 times; eight times fewer than any other number. Other unlucky numbers include 6, 11 and 41..

If you want to add the National Lottery iPhone application to your handset then all you need to do is visit the iPhone application store and search for "National Lottery- Lotto".

You should be able to see the National Lottery application and you simply click on the logo to download and install.
