The colonists from the 1700's would be giving the modern day colonists high fives for their spirit and resolve for stopping the Amnesty Bill this past week.

"No Taxation Without Representation" was the battle cry of the colonists in the 1700's. "No Amnesty Without Representation" was the battle cry this past week. We the People stood up to an Amnesty Bill that a certain group of Senators had put together behind closed doors with the intention of forcing it down our throats. This Bill was not a Representation of the People. The people do not want amnesty for individuals whose first act on US soil was to break the laws of the United States of America. We the People made that clear to the Senators and the Senators acted on that message.

As we celebrate this Independence Day July 4, 2007 let's reflect on this past week and celebrate the awesomeness of this Nation. Congress listened to the Will of the People. Is that not big or what. Not a shot was fired, no one was put in jail, and all of our infrastructure is still in place. We are the United States of America. God Bless America.
