Song of the Titans
"What are they waiting for?" The Titans of Old…. I fear yea waits for prophecy and souls! And thence draws man closer to fear: Alas, great fear! …great fear! Seeds to plant
-inside man's heart before treachery…starts (hear, hear them sing, beneath the seas, sing, sing the song of the Titans, those with black halos, and brows so deep, eyes ere ((before time)) now they dance tediously: '…nay, nay': draws the cries and echoes, a thousand leagues); forsaken in their mystic labyrinth, long it be, long it be, the Titans of Old…, yea waits for souls; where breast to breast, and beast to beast, they roam the underworld seas, like crows and cows, under black sunsets; here, here realms unvisited since time began, affirmed, wait for prophecy and terror, to begin: to begin, to begin for mortal man… the birth to madness blazing madness, begins- like swaggers, deep they seek, they seek the devils keep (these Titans of old) Here, here dreams are nightmares for corporeal man, mixed with terror and peril-hand in hand: "What are they waiting for?" bellows fatal man, waiting for… He wants to know, and he commands demands! (Now the echoes arrive on earthly sand- :) "Alas! Alas, the end of time: it is now at hand?"

Note by the author: " In accounting for the celebrity of the Titans, I use many words which add nothing to the poem per se, for there is little to say, along with melody, one must remember that the poetry is for the most part, made to sing, words are half the art, so they bounce easily. The careful reader will hear the effects, the theme is old: time is short. "
