Healthy Snack Idea For Kids

Snack can contribute an extra energy for your kids. Afternoon snack gives them extra energy after school. It helps them to concentrate on their homework. However, not all snacks are healthy for them. You have to select the healthy snack for them.

As a mother, you have to be able to provide them a healthy snack. It is better for you to prepare it by yourself. Then what are those healthy snacks you can prepare?

Children love anything they can dip. You can prepare it by using low fat ingredients or you can make nutritious hummus, salsa, or bean deep. Your children will also like whole wheat crackers, pita triangles, or chips with tortilla baked. Perfect dips from fruit include applesauce, flavored yogurt, sour cream with low fat which is sweetened by brown sugar or honey, and topping from caramel ice cream.

Apples, pears, cubed peaches, pineapple chunks, berries, melon balls can also be a selection to create fruit kabobs. Also, small sandwiches from cut-up bread or crackers can be a good hit. Your children will also love a sandwich which is made from slices of bread, meat for lunch, cheese and some miniatures of cookie cutters. You can also make pizza with no fat. It can be healthy snack. Let them spread the tomato sauce with low fat mozzarella cheese on it. As the top, use sliced vegetables and meat. Heat it for a couple of minutes in microwave or oven. For a more kid-appeal, cut that pizza into little triangles.

You can also prepare frozen snacks such as snow cones or ice cream. Frozen grapes can be a good alternative since they contain a lot of fiber and vitamins. You can make frozen banana to be rolled in chopped nuts and chocolate syrup. The combination of ice, juice, yogurt, milk, and frozen milk can be healthy as well as delicious snack.
