Without knowledge of html and other programming languages, building a website is a difficult task. Hiring professional web designer can cost you up to thousands dollar. In this articles I will shows you 3 cost-effective ways to get your site online fast and easy without having to spends thousand of dollars.

1. Using templates: With little knowledge of html, and other graphic software such as Photoshop and macromedia flash, you can save times and money in developing your website. Based on my experiences, using templates not only save time and money, it also adds professionalism to your websites, because our design templates can never beat the design of those professional templates designer. There are many templates available on the web for your website. The cost of templates ranges from free to US$200. However the average cost of a looking template is around US$50. If you have money to spend and want you site to be unique you have a choice to buy unique template which cost you around US$1,500. To look for website templates you can easily search in the search engine. One of my favorite places to shop for templates is www.templatemonster.com .

2. Content Management System: Is one of the most effective way of webmaster, because not only it saves time and money, most of the time it is optimized for search engine. Nowadays many webhost also provides free content management system that can be easily installed from webhosting control panel. Following are my favorite content management system:

a. WordPress: You can build an easy- to-update and manage using this software. It is the blog that allow you to update your site easily, and it attracts search engine robots each time you publish new contents. To customize your WordPress blog you can easily search for free themes and paid themes. My favorite place to search for free themes is http://themes.wordpress.net . If you prefer paid WordPress themes you can search in template monster for WordPress themes. One reason I like WordPress is it is easy to add more function to the blog. There are many plug-INS available freely on the internet; you can easily search for wordpress plug-ins in googles.

b. PHP-Nuke: Is a full features content management system. Because it comes with many functions, it is not easy to manage for new webmasters. But if you have time to spend you can play with this powerful content management system, I am sure there are many useful feature for you. Again, customization of this content management system is easy, because there are available themes on the internet.

c. Joomla: One of the most well-known among webmasters. It has professional looks and easy to navigates, and comes with many useful functions.
d. OScommerce: It is an open-source ecommerce shopping cart. It is ideal for webmaster who sales product on the internet. With a few step of configurations you can start to add your product to the website and start to sell quickly. Also OScommerce templates are readily available free or paid on the internet.

Above are my favorites tools to build a website, there are many content management systems available on the internet. If youre lucky to have a webhost that comes with a Cpanel or Plesk control panel you can enjoy trying those soft wares in the Fantastico menu of the control panel.

3. Using online website builders: I believe it is the easiest way to get your site up and running quickly. The online website builders are designed for webmasters with little or no knowledge of website designing. Website builder build the website based on templates. Because it is easy to use and require little web development knowledge, it comes with limited features and functions. However I believe it is more than enough for small business websites. There are many online website builders, and most of them provide free webhosting services if you pay for online website builder monthly. After searching the internet for online website builders, I find these two powerful website builders: first the www.site2you.com and the other one is www.sitegaloreplus.com . If you have time you can try other website builders free trail and see if it suits your needs.

Designing your own website is a hard task, maintaining a website is a harder task. I hope that with little help from tools above you can save your precious time, and spend more of your time to promote and bring more business to your websites.
