You are finally ready to move into your new home. Your condo is on the market, and you contacted an agent you can trust. You have people showing up, but no one has any offers. Now what? To help, I will reveal some tips that will make your home more attractive. Our goal is to sell the house.

Typically the first thing your visitor will see is the front of your home. The goal here is to make it as attractive as possible, but more importantly, inviting. First impressions are crucial. It's important that it looks clean. Cut your lawn, weeds are killer, so get rid of them if necessary, if possible trim the bushes, plant some flowers, and if there's anything blocking your walkway, make sure it's clear.

Make sure your home is clean. These could be things like cleaning your carpets, washing your floors, dusting hard-to-reach areas, and getting those windows clean if possible (both inside and out). These clients can be very picky, and so, they just really like to inspect these things.

Keeping things neutral. The key here is not to "feed" your buyer your style. A customer walks in, and see's something they don't like. The thought process is for it to be their own. The ultimate goal is to keep things neutral.

Be sure to check the lighting. No one wants to look at a place that they can't see. Seems understandable, right? Unfortunately, as a real estate agent myself, I've had some incidents where this was ignored. Check your lights, and be sure they're working. Although I recommend examining all the light bulbs, I'd focus more on areas with a lesser amount of fake lighting. This could be your basement or bathroom. It's good to have your windows visible as well. Simply put, the more real light, the better.

Making repairs. This consists of things like a fresh coat of paint, repairing of any holes in the wall, and damaged screens. You want your buyer to feel like your house has been well taken care of. This would be a great idea.

Try to avoid clutter. One of the worst things that can happen is when your customter feels "boxed in." Try your best to eliminate clutter. Remove any unnecessary items such as too many pictures and accessories. The goal here is you want to have your home feel like a home, yet at the same time have it as spacious and organized as possible. You want the buyer to get a good sense of the space and imagine it as their own.

Although the tips mentioned above are certainly beneficial, it is also important to note that it doesn't guarantee a sell of one's house. After all is said and done, you want an inviting home and a place your customers can call their own. Good luck!
