Adding blog to your forex site can be a very valuable contribution to your affiliate success. In order to attract readers to your blog, it is necessary to follow the right strategies and avoid the most common pitfalls of blogging. What are the best advices for bloggers? How can you drive more traffic and convert those curious minds into profitable traders?

1. Affiliate marketing is hard work!

You have been a forex affiliate for couple of months and things are slow. You are getting desperate and considering jumping into a different niche, or searching for other ways to earn money online.

My advice - slap yourself right now and stop daydreaming! Did you learn how to swim in one day? Have you found your soul mate in kinder garden? Did you really flip your first pancake perfectly without dropping the whole frying pan on the floor?! Of course not! Then why do you still think that making money online is as easy as 1-2-3 and you should be making your first million by now?!

2. Plan and Organize

The structure of the blog is very important. Take time to figure out how you want your blog to look like. For example, how would you like to have the following features listed:

• Comments
• Sub-pages
• Archiving
• User Accounts

3. The Power of the Title

Keep in mind that title tags should be short, forex-related and catchy. While you are investing all that energy into readers, keep in mind that you do want to keep search engines happy too. The right phrasing and word ordering can make difference in bringing the targeted traffic your way.

4. Spread Your Post

Once you update your blog with new posts, you have to spread the word around the net. To do so, submit your posts to social networks such as: Technorati, Delicious, Flickr, Reddit, Digg, StumbleUpon etc.

5. Leave Comments for Later

Unless you already have plenty of visitors coming in, it might be a good idea to withdraw from allowing comments in the beginning. There is nothing more depressing than a blog with no comments. Also, it is a good idea to monitor the comments - you will be surprised how much spam is posted on a daily basis. You definitely don't want that kind of comments around.

6. Pictures Worth Thousand Words

The most successful blogs have all kind of illustrations, images, videos, charts and graphs to entertain the audience. So, in case your blog is all about forex trading and contains text, text and more text - you might at least consider adding text decorations like blockquotes, clipart, bullet points and other visually appealing content.

7. Research is Your Best Friend

Here is the hard part - you have to find out what forex traders what to talk about. Spend time researching the most asked questions and discussed topics in forex industry.

8. Write From The Heart

Readers like to hear real stories for real people. Compassionate, honest, with a touch of humor but at the same time professional tone is the best way to keep your readers interested. It is not only what you say, but how you say it. In case your post touches problematic issues that might offend your readers, maybe it is a good idea to reread it couple of times and make sure that nothing needs to be rephrased. Once your post is online, there is no going back.

On the other hand, sharing personal experience and private information in your content with a light sprinkle of humor can be a true hit. An occasional off-limit topic can bring great rewards - links and traffic!

9. Keep It Simple

Long posts are proven losers! Don't overdo it - stick to maximum 750 words. Your post can actually be amazing, however, almost none of us read an article from the top to the bottom. Most likely, you are not even reading this line. This means only one thing - write less and keep it simple!

10. Respond To Your Readers

Once you enable comments on your blog, you obviously want the readers to communicate and leave comments to your posts. It shouldn't be one-sided conversation and questions should not go unanswered.
