The beautiful island of Rhodes is just a quick flight away from the United Kingdom (around three hours long) but when you stop out of the plane you are going to feel a million miles away. This island is a beautiful one with its big heavy palm trees and white sands sinking into transparent blue seas. It really is the perfect place to relax in, but has enough to keep you on your toes so you don't get bored.

If you are not yet decided on your destination for this years holiday, Rhodes offers that fantastic feature that the sun is year round. There is hardly any period on this island that is not considerable more warm and summery than the United Kingdom. You can take advantage of this by going "out of season" in the financial calender, but when it comes to flights you need to book in advance because a lot of people have the same idea!

With the lovely little picturesque villages inviting you to soak up the old fashioned Grecian culture, and the usual (but never losing popularity) attractions like the beaches, castles, forts and markets are plenty in supply.

Due to the location, it is easy to take advantages of the ferries going to the Turkish mainland almost every day, expanding the places you can visit and your experiences. The trip across the sea is a great way to enjoy the sunshine with a healthy dose of cooling breeze too!

Rhodes is a great destination for friends, couples and families too. There are plenty of resorts with entertainment and activities for families who need home comforts as well as the exotic side of a holiday. If you are here with a group of friends the night life and fun day time activates on the beach and town will certainly be enough to wear you out to excuse a long lie in every morning. If you are here with your significant other Rhodes will supply you with a good mixture of fun and romance and generally good service to allow for a fantastic holiday!

It should be noted that direct charter flights to Rhodes only operate until the end of October, and after this time you will need to fly via Athens.
