Warrior And Worshipper
Like David a man after God's own heart
From fighting enemies in war I won't depart
First worshipping God is how I like to start
Each and every day, before I go to battle
Seize and slay evildoers like cattle
No time for my tongue to rattle
Give me a horse and my saddle
I can also go by boat and paddle
Swim if I must, sleep in dirt and dust
Carry on without making a fuss
My Commander shall not hear me cuss
A deadly fight to the finish is upon us
Some will offer sad condolences
Others will salute and congratulate
As for me, I must articulate and demonstrate
That war is deadly and never that great
Nor worthy of excessive accolades
War should be a last resort for civilization
After they reach the peak of aggravation
And have exhausted every other option
Preferably for me I like to deal diplomatically
Many however won't listen unfortunately
I guess they prefer wars that are bloody
Brains to be blown out of their heady
Top heavy and proud cerebrum
Unintellectual, brains they don't have them
Intellectually inferior, war has ruined them
Ignorant to the core, they lust for more
Discussions and mediation to them are a bore
They much prefer blood, guts, and brutal gore
Hence we arm ourselves, stockpile, and store
More weapons and nukes for theatres of war
Praise the Lord and pass the ammunition
Keep your guard up with all suspicion
The evil will to kill rages mightily on
We run to the battle like a stallion
Roar with vengeance like a lion
Align ourselves with allies in Zion
When we arrive Islamic militants start crying
Chanting, reciting, repenting, and praying
To the wrong god they erroneously pray
Which explains for their meanness day by day
In love Christ Jesus leads the way
Concerning killing this our Lord did say
"The day will come that people will kill
In the name of God, thinking foolishly
That they are devoutly serving Him"
John 16:1-3 exposes their wicked whim
To seek, kill, and destroy for religion
However Father in heaven won't have them
These are infidels, sons of perdition
Misaligned, unteachable, with futile opinions
I pray they will awake and quickly shake
Their devilish doctrine from themselves
Before the earth does burn and shake
At the end of the age which is coming soon
Because war makes of us all buffoons
Worship Jesus the living God who loves you
He is most gracious, forgiving, and merciful
Worship wholeheartedly and don't purport
War my friend isn't godly. It's a last resort
Let not the murderous devil of you make sport.
