Hackers, Government's Eye and Quantum Computing; Forget Privacy

Many people are so worried that their private information will be stolen and some criminal might steal their identity. Well, these are credible fears and yet just wait until the future with quantum computing. Now as the future of Quantum Computing takes place 128 bit encryption is pretty much worthless. Soon all information will be available to everyone anyway; for good or evil.

Indeed, I thought some of the comments at the RSA Meeting in S.F. were indeed relevant. But I was discussing all this recently with one of the original Internet founders last month prior to his attending Davos 2007 and they are working hard to control the problems and challenges. The stakes are pretty high for the future. Especially "National Security" you see?

Of course those who defend such things like "Total Awareness" program have a point as well;

"What is the matter, what are you trying to hide anyway?"

If you look at the "Electronic Frontier" Group in DC, ACLU and other such privacy right advocates, you have to admit that they also seem to cause problems such as delaying the development of honest technologies, for instance; RFID active or inactive tags, RFID embedded chips and such all of which have super-Killer-Applications.

Those are all good things and uses of the technology, of course someone might point out Hitler and how the escalation of intrusion, paranoia increased to alarming rates as well. The Total Awareness Program, when the project got cancelled due to public outcry and Senators and Congress men deleting funding, well I am certain that the amount of value to such a system to catch and/or track "bad guys" was too great to stop.

Recently, some Bloggers have mentioned and proclaimed on the Internet that it went into the "black Ops" or "Black Bag" category and is funded through that instead. Again Occam's Razor predicts that it would be treated like that. I mean from Echelon to present day, why would anything have changed?

Surely it makes sense to use this data for the betterment of our Nation and the security of the American People. I certainly hope this article is of interest and that is has propelled thought. The goal is simple; to help you in your quest to be the best in 2007. I thank you for reading my many articles on diverse subjects, which interest you.
