Revealed: Facts Your Network Marketing Company Don't Tell You!

There are a lot of things that leaders and company executives would rather you not know about things that really do take place behind the curtain. I am not bashing companies because I truly understand that many of these things do not take place to harm you. But, you do have a right to be aware of your surroundings. It's great to say there's no weeds in your garden, but ignorance does nothing but lead you down the wrong road in Network Marketing.

Did you know that many times the celebrities for companies you see all the time have no experience in network marketing? A pretty face, an ability to speak fantastically well and simply knowing the right people are some of the ways these people get in front of an audience. They know how to sell themselves or have a relative on the inside that allowed them to be the face of a company.

Companies know that most of the training they provide to their distributors is not statistically effective for the benefit of the average home-based business owner. Companies know their numbers down to a science. They understand that on average a new associate may stick around for about 90 days and bring in 2 or 3 new distributors, on average, before they quit.

Companies have to teach the most basic and simple techniques because what they teach is being used by the masses. Everyone
who signs up into their company is first taught to make a list of the people they know, to hand out fliers, run newspaper ads, etc. These techniques are designed to get the word out to the masses to sell a few product right away, but it does very little to help you grow a massive organization.

It is extremely rare that you find companies creating marketing material based upon the specific skill set a network marketer needs to begin with. That would be too expensive and take too much time to bring them their first profit. Doesn't it make sense to develop a skill set before you approach people you are supposedly trying to help with your product or service?

Most companies make 25-50% of their overall annual revenues from the sale of marketing materials such as fliers, brochures,
audios, etc. Companies are smart. They recognize the value of their data base. They understand that if the average distributor only sticks around for three months, they have that much time to offer them everything they can to make a profit.

Companies know the game and they play it well. Don't fault them for wanting to make a profit. Learn from them. They run a successful business. They recognize that it's a lot easier to sell products of any type to their target audience than it is to go out and drum up new business. That is the same reason samples only work when you give them to existing customers.

It is your responsibility to drum up new business, not theirs. But adding new associates quicker than they quit is one of the keys to success. This doesn't mean you should go out and sign everyone up that you meet. When you focus on only those who have a connection with your product first, you won't have to even worry about anyone ever quitting. It's a time saver, believe me!

Sometimes we get too emotionally tied up into how great our companies are or how great the products are. At the end of the day we must realize they have a business to run. It's no different than the home-based business you are running. You are inclined to do everything in your power to ensure your business stays in business. If they didn't focus on this, you would have no products to sell for your business.

If you're looking to level the playing field and become a distributor who knows exactly how to get to the top, then start focusing on the inside of your company. Know as much about your industry as you possibly can. Understand why they do the things they do, especially when you don't think it benefits you. Make a list of what you don't agree with and get to the bottom of it. You'll be amazed at the knowledge you can acquire.

No matter what your company may tell you to do, positioning yourself as a leader is the most valuable technique you'll ever
learn when it comes to growing your downline. You must also know how to write compelling messages that will have prospects approaching you with questions instead of you bugging them. And article writing, blogging, pay-per-click advertising, youtube.com and press releases are just a few proven ways to get you positioned.

If your company isn't teaching you these techniques, find a program that offers proper marketing education and break the cycle that will keep you running in circles for years to come. Leaders recognize when change needs to be made. Followers keep doing the same things over and over. You owe it to yourself and your downline to be a leader and not a follower.
