RSS Feeds File type:RSS RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. Its name quite aptly describes it for RSS feeds file type:RSS, also popularly known as RSS feeds or RSS channels, is a very simple tool for content sharing readily available to the internet public. It is syndicated because the users have the option to subscribe to existing RSS feeds and get content automatically delivered to them.

File sharing is made possible through the use of an RSS feeds file type:RSS software common to both RSS information publisher and subscribers. The software for RSS feeds file type:RSS is usually downloadable and can generally be adapted for use with different internet browsers like Internet Explorer as well as various email readers. There are also RSS feed software that does not require downloading.

The RSS feeds file type:RSS is an XML file that lists all the web pages that have the certain information that the subscriber has chosen to receive. It is mainly like your typical search engines results page in that the rss feed contains a title and summary with a click able link to the website url where the full and actual content can be found.

The Need for RSS Feeds File type:RSS The main reason why most internet marketing efforts and interest are shifting towards RSS feeds file type:RSS marketing hinges on the fact that marketing through email campaigns is gradually being rendered ineffective and may soon even be cost-ineffective.

Email marketing has been rendered ineffective by the fact that it is prone to virus contamination. Thus, the recipients of emailed marketing information usually just leave the marketing emails alone. They don,t even open these emails before they delete them.

Aside from the dangers of computer viruses, email marketing effectiveness has also been blunted by the proliferation of SPAM email. SPAM makes sorting through email an arduous task. Frustrated, the email recipient will simply turn on the SPAM filter and delete every filtered mail received. Moreover, even emails that pass the SPAM filter are automatically suspected of SPAM contents and are highly likely to end up the same way as the filtered mails.

The return on investment for email marketing has also been grievously threatened by news that Yahoo Mail will be charging email marketers varying amounts for every thousand marketing mails sent. If this came about, the rest of web-based mail providers are likely to follow suit and the cost of email marketing campaigns will drastically increase to impractical levels.

Due to the current email marketing medium,s trends and weaknesses, the effectiveness and practicality of using email for internet marketing continues to be on a downward slide. Internet marketers, however, may explore the powerful tool that they have in RSS feeds.

Since RSS feeds file type:RSS are subscribed to, they can never be filtered off as SPAM. Its XML file format is also less prone to virus and thus, RSS subscribers are unlikely to avoid opening RSS feeds. Moreover, this mode of internet marketing can easily promote your website if another site likes your feeds and chooses to receive it.
