The need for marketing your website
A lot of companies spend a fortune in having a website built, but how many of them actually have those websites marketed? believe me after our research, not many.
It is amazing how many companies, from small to medium size companies spend their budget on having the best looking website that can do nearly everything except from doing the housework, but do not spend any money actually marketing the website. The website becomes worthless, it is just like having the best car in the world but with no engine, would you buy it? I think not.
People seem to think that you can put a website on the net and the customers will start flooding in, they do not, we all wished they did. So what do we do? well there are many things to do, and some of them will not cost you an arm and a leg. There is the old favourite of add words, now this is a good way to promote your company, but you have to be very careful not to go over your budget, it is very easy to go over your budget hoping to get that traffic, when in the end you have gone over your budget and the customers you do get only go to pay off the add words bill.
A good way to market your site is through, advertising in publications, links, and more importantly quality links, and my favourite is, business directories and business articles sites.
Being a part of a quality site with your details and links on there will help your company go up the google rankings as well as build your customer base which will enhance your companies turnover.
