Maybe because it's in the hip hop genre, but sonic producer gets hyped more then any other affiliate program out there. All I see is how crazy the beats are. I'm skeptic because internet based programs shouldn't be able to do real time beats. There's just no way this can be possible.
The only thing I could think to do was to buy it myself. This way I figure I'd either be able to believe the hype, or I could provide a little reality into a otherwise bubble world of sonic producer reviews.
Since I'm sure you want to get into the sonic producer reviews portion of this, I'll bypass some of the sign up commentary.
Now a little about the program
Quick disclaimer, I'm not new to making beats. I work with Pro Tools and Reason on almost a daily basis.
I was really curious first to see how the playback worked with sonic producer. I mean, playing back 16 tracks over the internet has gotta have its quirks. Turns out, my suspicions were validated. When playing a track back, the program struggled to keep a consistent time. For whatever it's worth, when I played the track after bouncing it as an mp3, I didn't hear any of those issues.
But you know what, I kind of expected this. And I wasn't too worried about it.I mean what can you really expect for a program that charges less then $30? If you can't take this program for what it's worth, then you might be a little delusional.
Despite the shaky playback, the program got back some points with it's sound library. I mean, a $30 program did give you some samples that I wouldn't hesitate to use in other scenarios.
