Writing articles can seem like a chore, especially if you are in a mind set of needing to do it. Therefore, let's change your mind. Article writing for fun and profit may need to be reset in your mind to, article writing for fun. Let the profit come as it may.
So, the first thing you can do is to begin writing about something you happen to like. Just begin telling the folks what you are going to talk about in simple terms. Next, tell them. And then lastly, tell them what you talked about. You know, a beginning, a middle and an end, or an introduction, a body and a conclusion.
Keep it short. Think of your readers. Think of yourself when you are surfing the internet and find something you really want to read. If it is too long do you sometimes just move on out of boredom or lack of interest? So will your readers. Just get to the point without a lot of unnecessary background information then move on to the next point.
Think of the main points of the topic you want to talk about. Organize them into three or four ideas and then begin writing about them. When you have completed your thoughts, then go back and edit your work. Of course, check spelling. There is nothing worse than simple spelling errors to turn off your readers. Especially check your grammar.
Read it over yourself and if another person is available ask them to read it. If it seems to flow and make sense as well as get the thoughts across you want to convey, congratulations. You have completed your article. There that wasn't so bad was it?
Now submit it to an article directory like this one or post it on your blog or website. You now have the beginning of the profit part of article writing for fun and profit.
