When internet proved to become real market place, internet or web leads may be, again based on your marketing strategy, substantial percentage of your revenues. However at the same time, if you are writing generic articles without knowing the rules of search engine optimization, you are definitely helping, but just a little bit, as you may be broadcasting your messages to the space

1. Links back. Press Release, article, blog or news are excellent opportunities to place a link from media portal back to your own web site and so, to improve your chances in getting more visitors as well as in ranking your website, as common page ranking technique considers number or links as one of the major factors. If you contribute on media portals with your news, then in about author section you can place the link

2. Link farms vs. syndication. There are several theories, one of them says - if you place too many articles on the same narrow number of portals, you may expose your company to so-called link farm blocking. However, the second theory says - if you publish to very popular articles submission sites, your articles will be more likely syndicated or posted through RSS feeds or simply by editor choice to other articles directories, which are in turning around or launching mode

3. Video, Photo, Visual Materials support. This might be geared toward the future technologies, as at this time we don't think search engine spiders are capable to read MPG, GPG or BMP formats in order to determine picture or movie relevance to the news text content

4. Blog, Article and PR - which internet to chose
