When you first star your business, beware of all those ad salesmen. They know fresh meat when they see it. Don't be a victim of spending all your advertising budget with some fast talker because you really don't know your options. There are options, lots of them. All you have to do is look over all of your possible ad plans carefully before making a decision. It is better to wait until you have checked things out than to jump on something and blow your cash.

One type of sales that you probably won't see knocking on your door will be for promotional product sales. You can get some good results with a lower cost with using promotional products for your business. It doesn't cost the big bucks that you would spend on mailings and radio ads. You can use these items alone or in conjunction with other advertising.

That is right, those little or larger items that have your business name and logo on them speak volumes about your business without a hard sell and for a very small investment. These products when used correctly can help with customer and client retention, help drive in new business, and can even help keep happier employees for the long term.

The best thing about promotional advertising is that it is so low key. We are bombarded with different types of ads all the time. You get to the point where you tune out all the noise and we don't even look at signs and posters. When someone has an item that they use daily from your establishment they are gently reminded of you with each use.

Use them for gifts, trade shows, or just hand them out around town. Give them to your clients, your customers, and reward your employees with them. No matter how you choose to distribute them they will do more to promote your business than any other form of advertising hands down. Don't fall for all those advertising people who are knocking on the door asking for your money. Bulk mailings don't produce the big results. The smart money is in promotional product advertising. Big or small, new or established, this is a form of advertising that is worth investing your money in.
