Those of you who are still in a notion that men and women can never be friends should come out of these orthodox concepts. There are many people of different age groups who consider dating as a way to make new friends. They are not really looking for romantic partners and some of them already have one.

But they do not have sufficient friends and this is the reason why they try out the method of dating to acquire new friends to share feelings and get support. There are no boundaries in friendship and a friend can be anyone with whom you feel comfortable enough to open up.

The more you make friends the closer you get bonded with the society which is really good for you as most of us are loosing our social contacts because of the rat race of life. Moreover the number of places that you can visit on boring weekends also increase remarkably which is the most profitable part of making friendship.

It happens at times that you get to know a person from different sources. This can be a speed dating event or an internet dating site. Then you gradually have phone conversations with the person and start liking him or her.

Then you two fix an appointment to meet somewhere. But this might happen that you do not get the feel after meeting each other that two lovers should feel. It is nothing but the x-factor which can be missing.

But this does not mean that you will not like the person. He might not be the dream date of your or the right partner for you. But surely he or she can become a real good friend as you have common topics to discuss about and sometimes can also share the feelings that you cannot share with anybody else.

This can start from dating but end up into a long term friendly relationship. But there can be many cases where the date is fixed with the intention of making friendship with the other person. Both of them already knew that; hence they will be mentally prepared. This is an added benefit that can be obtained from dating

No good trick is devoid of any adverse effects. There are some here as well. Often it happens that one of the dates start liking the opponent wherein he or she is just a friend to their date. This is when the heart breaks take place. Moreover if you already have a spouse then the chances are high that they will not understand your motive behind dating and you can get into serious trouble. So be careful before you adapt dating as the technique of making friends.
