New Cancer Hope
Since the 1970's, numerous studies have been done in the US, Europe, and Japan with various mushroom derivatives. Studies in Japan and the US, have shown the Agaricus Blazei Murill variety ('ABM) to be 80% more effective than the world's number one cancer drug, PSK. It contains much higher levels of beta glucans than the other medicinal mushrooms (Maitake, Shiitake, and Reishi) and stimulates NK (Natural Killer) cell activity.
ABM also stimulates lymphocyte T-cell and Helper T-cell production. The polysaccharide contained in ABM stimulates production of interferon and interleukin that indirectly function to destroy and prevent the proliferation of cancer cells. Additionally, ABM turned out to be a very powerful antiviral agent preventing viruses from entering tissues.
After 25 years of careful scientific research and clinical studies, the Himematsutake mushroom (as the ABM is called in Japan) was first presented to the 9th World Immunological Congress in San Franicisco By Dr. Mamdoo Ghoeium of Drew Medical School, UCLA. His research confirmed that the "Himematsutake mushroom increased Killer Cell activity 5000 percent in only 4 days, as well as shrinking tumors and warding off cancers by stimulating the production of white blood cells, bone marrow cells and cytokines such as interferon."
It should be noted that the beta-glucans in these mushrooms work best when taken with vitamin C.
The studies in Japan were so successful that today Japan is now buying over 90% of Brazil's ABM. This is significant because the Japanese hold the world records for health and longevity.
There is now a product available in this country, that contains this highly effective ABM. It is a Glucan Infusion and is far superior to most ABM Mushroom products. Since it is a well known fact that any chemo therapy product destroys the immune system, it is recommended that any mushroom product be taken along with the conventional therapy to enhance the effectiveness of the treatment and prevent unpleasant side effects.
