The Truth about Being A Responder Or A Reactor
He has got no choice and went ahead to pick up the phone angrily and non- responsively. He was reacting to the ringing sound of the telephone rather than responding. To his surprise, the caller at the other end of the line was someone very kind, gentle, sweet and very helpful.
He went though the conversation and thoroughly enjoyed it. He felt warmed on the inside and after he had finished the conversation, he went back to complete his paragraph in a higher state of consciousness than he was before.
Any clue why this man finally felt much better after telephone conversation? This is because he has got a warm response from the caller at the other end of the line rather than a reaction. As you can see, response or reaction is infectious. The caller chooses to response warmly and not reacts to the man's behavior. The warm response of the caller finally touches the man's heart.
In life, you are bound to meet many circumstances, be it good or bad. It can be the ringing of the telephone and doorbell, the salesman at your door, someone just comes into your office when you are busy, etc.., but just recognize one thing. Remember nobody will come into your life today without a purpose!
Believe that everybody comes into your life to bring you a blessing. Too good to be true? Reacting will not benefit you and if you react to the blessing that comes your way, you will stand to lose it.
On the other hand, if you choose to respond to everyone that comes into your way with love and warmth, there is a high chance that you will attract a similar response from them. Since they will reciprocate with love and warmth, you will bring back the love and warmth into your own life as well.
There is absolutely no reason why you should shut yourself off from the blessings which come into your life everyday. Consider everyone that approaches you come with an intention of bring you a blessing.
Be always ready to response to them with love to that blessing. By doing that, you shall have blessings heaped upon blessings. You will then have a glad day rather than a hard day because of your simple understanding of reaction or response.
