Have you and your partner been trying to conceive a baby? Have you been unsuccessful for at least a year? If so, then it is possible that one or both of you are suffering from problems with infertility. If you believe that infidelity is a problem in your life, then you should discuss this with your physician. Some causes of infertility in women and men are listed below to help you get a better idea of how infertility can be treated.

Genetics is one reason that a man suffers from infertility along with childhood diseases, infections, injuries and being exposed to radiation or some form of hazardous chemicals. The most common causes of infertility in men are contributed to low sperm count. A low sperm count can be brought about by a person's lifestyle. Everything from smoking and drinking to sitting in saunas and hot tubs can cause a man to have a low sperm count. These are simple things that can be eliminated from your life and once you have done this your sperm count could rise. There are medical reasons that causes low sperm count that include simply having abnormal shaped sperm and a condition called variocele. Other temperature conditions that can correct themselves include being in a situation that puts you under a lot of stress. Certain sicknesses and medications can also cause a low sperm count.

It is important to remember that when it comes to causes of infertility in women there can be more than one problem existing at any given time. Some conditions that can cause infertility are uterine problems and tubal conditions such as scar tissue and blocked fallopian tubes. Medical conditions that cause cancer, tumors and infections can also be causes of women having infertility problems. Being stressed and overworked can along with age can be factor. Infertility can occur because a woman is having problems ovulating. There are different things that affect this, which includes how old a woman is. For example, if a woman is in her early twenties or late teens she is at the age when her body is able to perform this action the most. The older a women gets the more ovulation decreases.

Not all infertility problems can be pinpointed to one certain thing and occasionally some go unexplained. Perhaps the sperm just cannot fertilize the egg, or the fallopian tubes may not pick up the egg for some unknown reason. In these cases there is not much you can do. However, many conditions can be corrected by making changes in your life or by the help of your physician. If infertility is a part of your life discuss it with your doctor to see what options you have.
