Playing bingo is one of the most popular leisure and entertaining activities of the many people around the world. Many people used to play bingo to reduce the stress and to feel the excitement. Moreover it was a big chance to meet other socializing people at the same time to make the game more interesting and a chance to win the attractive cash prizes too. Visiting regularly to the bingo houses was the popular past time during the war years. In those days the bingo was played mainly as a fund raising activity to donate generously to the charitable institutions, it was a noble cause and people were largely encouraging this activity. Bingo playing halls were the best place to meet seniors and retired people in those days to socialize or interact with a large number of people while playing bingo with an idea to reduce stress and worries for the short time as the game used to provide great fun and excitement due to various sized prizes. Bingo was played in the bingo halls with its conventional method, selling out different game papers to the players the organizers were generating the funds, a part of the collection used to be given for the charity and the remaining balance was being distributed among the winners according to the game plan. The event organizers were providing all the expenses to run the game and then getting the reimbursements from the collection. Each bingo playing card or paper was sold at different prices and bingo players were never behind to show their high enthusiasm to succeed the game. The conventional method of playing bingo was very simple to understand and play. The bingo number caller used to call the number printed on the ball and the players had to tick or mark the same number printed in the squares on the paper or card given to them. There were different stages of the game like first line, second line, and third line individually or full house and every winner used to get a different prize by the organizers. In the case of no one has completed the game, the prize money used to be carried forward in the next game thus the excitement was doubled to win the mega cash prizes on the offerings. Different game had a different time slot, starting and ending time was quite stipulated and so as to reach there in time, the players were taking pain to reach to the bingo halls even driving a long distance and the same way back. They all rush to be in time to take part the games and increase their winning chances. During the war time, other activities were reduced to a great extent but playing bingo had a exhilarated popularity even on those tough days.
