What's the 5-Word Formula to Easily Ensure Your Success?

Let me ask you an important question, and I hope you give it the attention you deserve to:

"Do you find yourself thinking more about things that make you smile or things that upset you?"

Really look at this issue. Because people who are happy and wealthy keep their eye on the prize. They know exactly what they want and have a detailed plan they keep front and center in their thoughts every day to get there.

In contrast, the majority are people who struggle to make the ends come at least close to meeting. They think more about their challenges, obstacles, threats and "why can't I get any breaks."

Two common expressions explain the "5-Word Formula to Easily Ensure Your Success" that touch upon both ends of the spectrum.

To describe what's going on with the successful people who discipline their mind and think only about "the task at hand" always moving toward their goal, we have this expression (which also touches upon the opposite 'habit' more people can relate to):

"When you're hot you're hot, and when you're not you're not."

The other phrase people use to describe that phenomenon is "things seem to go from bad to worse".

Notice how the following expressions also roll off the tip of your tongue more – because we all hear them more often, with more people dwelling on what makes them upset than thinking about their successes.

The first is that someone "got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning". The other is, "when it rains, it pours".

What are your additional thoughts about the question I asked you earlier, "Do you think more about things that make you upset, or things that make you happy?" More importantly, what can you do to become more aware of what you're thinking about, and how it affects what happens to you each day?

After exploring that, answer this powerful question: "How can you train your mind to keep your thoughts only on things that make you happy (and why that's so important to BEING happy)?"

Let's get back to our initial question we raise in the title of this article which subtly gives you the way to creating your life the way you want it.

It's important because almost everyone experiences some things they don't want, and they give their power to those things, which only makes it worse or causes other things they don't want to happen.

This simple "5-Word Formula to Easily Ensure Your Success" will change your life if you put it into practice beginning this moment:

"Energy flows where attention goes."

What does it mean, and how can you use it – today – to start getting the things you want? Important questions.

Let's talk about an example so we're clear on how this works. Let's say Joe's having a good day until he gets the mail and finds his $800 mortgage bill.

He's only got $150 in the bank and he swears out loud as he thinks… "How am I going to come up with $800 in a week when I don't get paid for another two weeks, and half that's already spent?"

What he just did was put a lot of power into something unwanted, through the way it made him worry and scared. In fact, he went into what I've coined "negative manifestation", because getting upset about that bill shifted his attention to where he starts finding all kinds of other things he doesn't want, and the downward spiral continues.

In contrast, let's imagine Jen who gets her mortgage and immediately smiles and lets out a happy sigh as she pulls it to her heart and thinks…

"Wow, I'm so grateful to be able to comfortably afford to live in such a great place! This (bill) reminds me how much I've enjoyed living here and how happy I am that I'm rich enough to make these payments month after month."

Let's also explore if somehow she had that same $650 shortfall to come up with in the next week, although it's unlikely she'd get into that position because when you stay away from scarcity thinking and feeling, the resources quite naturally flow and you always have plenty.

So this is farfetched to think about, yet let's say hypothetically Jen created that same predicament as Joe. She wouldn't give it any concern, knowing she empowers whatever she thinks about.

Instead, she'd use this thought to trigger (in her case inspire) possible solutions, and she would express this confidently and with faith:

"I feel really good knowing I'm prosperous and I keep my awareness on all the ways more prosperity keeps showing up."

Because "Energy Flows Where Attention Goes", which she knows is always true, she has developed the habit of keeping her thoughts on things that make her feel good. That attention will lead to more good things for her to become aware of.

One of the components of 'The Carnegie Formula" I've created is "The Master Key System" that Napoleon Hill endorsed, and one of my favorite quotes from The Master Key describes this surest way to success in just three words:

"Much gathers more."

Keep thinking about good things – you'll find even more good things to think about.
Think about things you don't want – you'll find more things you don't want to think about.

Stop for a few moments and think about the first examples that come to your mind.

And notice whether they're examples of "much good things gathering more good things", or things you didn't want gathering more. That's important to be aware of to help you realize whether your mind is supporting your goals – or hindering them.

Because what we think about is just a matter of how we've trained our mind, and that's fully within our power to change.

When I was young I had all sorts of health problems and my mom was always worried about me. As a result I was sick a lot.

I grew into a "worry wort" myself and didn't enjoy my school years at all until I became about 15 and somehow woke up to my own positive nature.

[Notice how this is another example of this formula working, because I was always afraid bad things would happen to me, and lo and behold they usually did happen.]

At 15, though, I started saying over and over in my head, "Think positive. Think positive."

It started working – the energy through my attention flowed in that direction and I started having positive experiences.

No matter how you answer the question about what you're focusing more of your attention on, make sure you realize you can begin to change that, today. It may not happen overnight or in a week or two if you've been in "negative manifestation" or at least the habit of thinking about what might go wrong… for decades.

Yet it will happen, and I've seen almost miraculous changes in people within a month of doing my "Master Key Class" as part of "The Carnegie Formula".

The important thing to remember is the Law of Inertia that says "An object at rest tends to stay at rest, and an object in motion tends to stay in motion."

Your thoughts are as they are because you've gotten into the habit of thinking that way. And when you decide to change that, you'll have to overcome that inertia - which you do by continuing to feed your mind with the more supportive thoughts until they take over and replace the old thinking.

It's the sure path for "much" to "gather more" in your life… Because what can I say, "When you're hot, you're hot!" :)
