The complete Boston theatre community was present at this enthralling event. Some of the Boston's most celebrated directors and actors shared stage space at this Marathon. It was a ‘high' time for the theatre fans, as they got an opportunity to watch a plethora of celebrities at one time, at one place.

In 2004, The Boston Theatre Marathon won the "Boston's Best" award for "Best Original Programming" by the Improper Bostonian. The 2008 Marathon was funded by the Humanities Foundation of Boston University.
