Four Words You Should Erase From Your Vocabulary

In a previous article I wrote about three ways to change our habitual thought and behaviour patterns. We can change our:

- thinking- language- behaviourChange on any of these three aspects will automatically change the other two aspects, which will ultimately make you think, talk, and behave differently in relation to your life's experiences.

In this article I will elaborate on the language aspect of change, and will give you four words you want to forget forever in order to "walk a different talk".

Changing your language literally means using different words than you used to, and using them in different contexts as well. The Law of Attraction stipulates that you get more of what you predominantly think and talk about. One thing to realise, though, is that our brain cannot process negations, so it makes sense not to use "negating language".

I'll give you an example: if you say: "I don't want experience sadness anymore", what do you actually focus on? Right, the sadness! Even though you say you don't want it, your brain doesn't understand that, and makes you focus on the sadness, probably making you feel sad. And here's a silly one: "There is no purple elephant here". What is the first thing you think about? A purple elephant!

It goes to show: if you think about what you do want, you will get more of that. If you think about what you do not want, you will get more of that! Universe is all-inclusive.

The most significant way out of this catch-22 is to scrap all "negative language" in your mind. You can start by taking all the noes, don'ts, nots and can'ts, out of your vocabulary. Stop saying:

- "I don't like this";- "that is not possible" or - "I can't do this", etc. Come up with more affirmative language like:

- "I like this", - "there must be another way; let's find it", or- "I can do and commit to this".It seems like an insignificant difference, but it is not! From focusing on what you do not want to be, do or have, you have suddenly started focusing on what it is that you do want to be, do and have! Not only will that make you feel more empowered, and therefore better, it will also direct the Law of Attraction to throw more things at you that match your positive vibration. In simple terms: things are likely to go your way a lot more!

There are many other words you can either dump completely, or change into more positive ones. Within the scope of this article I'll give you a three more -with the caveat that this is just the tip of The Iceberg; if you want to know more about it, you will have to contact me!

- "I hope..."; better is "I desire", "I choose" or "I am", because they take away the passiveness that lies within "I hope".- "I'll try..."; better is "I will", "I choose" or "I commit". As one of my mentors always said: trying is lying. You either DO, or you DON'T. Trying at best means non-committed action, and at worst no action at all.- "I will see..."; better is "I will", or "I commit". Again, the "I'll see" attitude is very non-committal, and takes away your power.Whenever you hear yourself using one of these three examples, catch yourself! Swallow your words, and rephrase them while you are in the conversation or in your thought train. Doing so will assist you regaining control over what goes on in your brain, and will help you with -literally- changing your mind. That, in return, will make you magnetic to more favourable circumstances, and will draw in results you will absolutely like, without you having to take major action! It is Law!
