Why DVD Reviews Are Better

Coming out of the theater, dead and beaten. I went to see the hottest movie in town, "Georgy and Porgie" but in reality it turned out to be more of an hodge podge. No action, the script was dead and the graphics were even sadder. Does the situation sound familiar to you?

It happened to me recently. While watching the movie, I kept cursing myself for not checking out the DVD review of the movie. Had I known the script, I would not even have considered going to the theater. This is what happens with many of us. Sometimes, the most coveted movie turns out to be a total failure and we not only end up wasting our hard earned money but our precious time as well.

On the contrary, some couples go for such movies to have a good time, knowing that the theatre is bound to be empty for their fancies. Some pay for these movies so that they can have a good hour and a half nap away from the nagging wives and shrill mothers. Many of these viewers also end up getting disappointed as the movie they went for got rave reviews and everybody turned up for it. They too end up cursing themselves or in case of the couples, each other.

Well, life would have been much simpler for all these couples and the not-so-lucky-singles, had they just taken out a few minutes to check out the reviews of the movie and decided whether it was worth a watch in the theater or a DVD at home would have been better off.
