Now that Allison has given birth to her own daughter she finally understands the lengths her mother went through to get her back on track when she was a teenager. The anger of first learning that her mother used a spy phone is completely forgiven and even a little humorous now.

It began when Allison was a sophomore in high school. Her mother, Monica, began to notice that her daughter was headed in the wrong direction. She was hanging out with her friends and Monica was sure she was doing things that she would never approve of.

The problem was that Alison was very clever about covering her tracks so that Monica could never catch her in the act. It appeared that Allison was always one step ahead of her.

Being like any typical teenager Allison desperately wanted her own cell phone. Her mother had done some research and decided that she could use this to her advantage. The original agreement between the two was that Allison would get a cell phone if her report card was all A's and B's.

Unfortunately when the reports cards came out Allison's grades had slipped to straight C's. Monica decided that she would bite her tongue and give her a phone anyway. See she had come up with a plan. She would give Allison a cell phone that was actually a spy phone.

This gave her mother the upper hand. Monica would have a matching phone that was specifically designed to see all sent or received messages that her daughter's phone received. She was stunned to see just how out of control her daughter was in just the first few hours of seeing the messages.

Monica played it very cool and never directly confronted her daughter about the stuff she had learned. Instead, she would just drop a few hints here and there. But Monica would derail many of the plans Allison would make. She would hear about a party being planned and call the parents of the students that were planning to host them.

Monica had even notified the school when a group of Allison's friends had decided to skip school for a day. This kind of interference infuriated Allison. She decided that she had had enough of it and confronted her mother.

She angrily asked her how it the world her mother always seemed to know just what she was up to. And Monica would always give the same reply "Mom knows all". If was obvious that her mother was winning this battle so Allison decided that she would straighten up.

With her reputation in ruins, Allison decided that she had lost enough friends due to her mother's interference and wanted to keep the few she had left. So she straightened up and even got her grades back up and made the honor roll.

And now that she is a parent of her own, Allison understands the reason that her mother got the spy phone and is grateful that her mother loved her enough to stop her from completely ruining her life.
