The 2006 Lebanon war started because Hezbollah attacked Israel. It was an unprovoked attack and it was not the first. Contrary to the previous aggressions, this time Israel did not respond by just making a small incursion into Lebanon. This time, it went all the way and mercilessly bombarded the Shiite regions of the country.

In Europe, there were numerous protests against Israel for what was deemed as a disproportionate use of force. Considering the large Muslim populations in Europe, such protests were expected. However, there were also thousands of Europeans who marched in front of their Parliaments, demanding that Tel Aviv stops its attacks.

An extraterrestrial who would have landed at that moment on Earth would have thought that the one who started the conflict was Israel.

In London, thousands of Britons marched in protest and while they were weeping for the Muslims, the Muslims were once again plotting to kill them. Only a few weeks later, Scotland Yard arrested a dozen Muslims who were about to plant bombs in passenger planes traveling from Britain to the U.S.

This of course, was not the first time Muslim terrorists had attacked Britain. A year earlier, they had planted bombs in the subway and had killed more than fifty people.

The large Muslim population in Britain and in Europe is of recent arrival. They first came in the 1960s and from then to the present the governments of the region have granted them a disproportionate amount of subsidies, which has allowed them to live comfortably while hardly working. Despite all the benefits that they have received, a day does not go by without them scheming and conspiring against Europe.

The Jews on the other hand, have been for centuries in Europe and they have never connived against any of those countries. Contrary to the Muslims, they have not taken subsidies, but have actually paid more taxes in per capita terms than any other group.

In spite of all that, Europeans see Jews with suspicion and resent them more than the Muslims. Such resentment is not new. In past centuries, they not just disliked them but also imprisoned them, expelled them, and even murdered them. During the Middle Ages for example, there were countless pogroms in which property was arbitrarily confiscated and thousands were burned at the stake.

Why so much antipathy? This is a question that must be asked because the behavior just described defies logic. In particular when one considers that Jews have a lower per capita crime rate than Europeans while Muslims have it much higher. Jews also have a much higher academic performance than Europeans while Muslims have it much lower.

The income statistics of Europe and the rest of the world, show that Jews have by far the highest incomes and that is precisely the crux of the problem. It is jealousy and envy what causes the irritation in most people.

However, those higher incomes are the result of hard work. It is not rational to dislike someone for doing the right thing. If somebody studies more than the rest, works harder, and saves more, it is only natural that such a person will enjoy higher incomes.

On the contrary, if somebody does not study, slacks around, and barely saves, it is natural that they will have low incomes. And that is exactly what Muslims do. They do poorly in school, they are unsympathetic to work, and are not parsimonious. They then take a disproportionate amount of welfare benefits and after having leeched by the tons, they go and plant bombs against the same ones who are feeding them.
