One of the parts of the body that has something to do with much of the movement of our upper body parts is the shoulder. The reason behind is due to the number of joints that are located in this upper body part of your body. Among the most important parts of the shoulders are the balls and sockets which makes it very movable.

Though the joints are movable, it is always emphasized to make sure that routines are done with caution.  Here are now 3 exercise routines for great toned shoulders.

1. The Military Press - This routine works on the upper body of your body called "the delts."  The routine aims to increase your upper body's mass particularly that below your neck.  What you need to do is to perform a warm up first and then choose a weight that you can carry when you do the press. Repeat the press in three sets of eight to twelve reps for each set.

2. The Barbell front raises - This routine also seeks to provide more definition to your upper body particularly the delts.  What you need here is a barbell of an upper body width grip.  Position your body in a still position and then move slowly the bar but focus more on the delts when you do the barbell front raise.  Do at least two sets of twelve to fifteen repetitions for every set.

3.  The Bent over Dumbbell Flyes - This is another routine that focuses on your delts but the emphasis is more on the rear of your delts.  Also, the routine makes use of a descending set where your start with the heaviest weight you can carry to lesser weight.

Here, you start to pick a weight that you can carry in twelve repetitions. After every set, pick a lesser weight that you would carry in ten repetitions and so on and so forth decreasing the weight the next set and decreasing the number of repetitions as well. In these routines, it is important to make sure that every movement is focused and controlled rather than fast.
