Eczema can re-appear it seems whenever it wants to. I know a few years ago, I'd start to see a few little bumps on my inner elbow and get that sinking feeling in my stomach again. This seemed to indicate that the next flare up phase.

Moisturizing with oils as well as taking oatmeal baths was very helpful to me. I also used a number of natural supplements including omega 3 supplements, tumeric for it's anti-inflammatory qualities and coq10. I worked on tracing foods I reacted to and one seemed to be the peppermint tea I drank. Tea itself can be dehydrating so be sure to drink a lot of water.

Another anti-inflammatory is ginger. Some people recommend vaseline or some of the over the counter remedies that include petrolatum. If you don't want to use this due to staying all natural, then you can try zinc oxide cream. A few people say this helped them and zinc is a good skin healer. Though zinc oxide is used in baby products, it is very inexpensive as well.

Watch the stress in your life. Just as hives can result from anxiety, so can any other skin disorder. It may not just be due to worry but also due to the fact that your sleeping pattern is poor. This makes your immune system off and the cycle continues. Your immune system is what protects you.

If you have a very noticeable case of eczema, try to not be pre-occupied by this. You can keep working on cutting out foods that are problematical, proper hydration and focusing on your inner self. Ultimately, this is what matters the most though it's easy to be self-conscious. For anyone with kids, it's important to let the teacher know that your child's skin rash is not contagious. This can help your child avoid any school alienation or discomfort from being left out. Kids still may say cruel things, so help your child accept their skin condition without it lowering the self-esteem. Don't have your child stay in a state of hopelessness but let them know that it will be improved in time and reduced significantly. Be sure to use anti-itching aids such as antihistamines , oatmeal baths and oils on the skin to help your child feel normal.
