Alicante weather is favourable most of the year. The climate is a typical Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild winters. The climate makes this area one of the most popular vacation destinations in the country.

The geography of the area contributes to the weather. Small hills and larger mountains to the north of Alicante offer natural protection from the north winds. This helps keep the climate temperate in the winter. The weather is nice in both summer and winter for vacations.

Alicante Weather in the Spring and Summer

The average high temperatures in the summer range from 22 to 26 degrees Celsius, with some days reaching up to 40. The minimum night time temperatures range between 17 and 17 degrees Celsius. There is about twelve hours of sunlight during the summer months. The climate is mostly dry with very little rain in the summer.

The summer is the most popular time to visit the Costa Blanca region. The area has a typical Mediterranean summer. The weather is hot and dry with sun nearly every day. This climate makes this area a great place to enjoy the beaches and summer water sports. However, this time of year is also the most crowded in terms of tourists.

Some people choose to visit the area in the Spring to avoid the crowds. The weather is still warm and mostly dry. It is warm enough to enjoy the beach, but not extremely hot. In addition, you won't have to deal with crowds in the summer.

Some of the more popular tourist destinations close down at the end of the summer months.

The average daily high temperature in the autumn ranges from 24 degrees Celsius in September to 15 in November. At night, the temperatures drop to between 8 and 17 degrees Celsius. Keep in mind that autumn has more rainy days than the other seasons. Plan your outdoor activities for the sunny days and visit museums and shop on the rainy days.

Alicante and other areas of the Costa Blanca are becoming popular spots for winter holidays. Northern Europeans looking to escape the freezing temperatures and snow come to this area. Snow is very rare, particularly in the coastal areas.

The average high temperature in the winter months range from 12 to 16 degrees Celsius. At night, the temperatures drop to between 5 and 8 degrees. This area has about seven hours of sunlight each day in the winter. The mild winter temperatures make this area a great spot for golf holidays in the winter months.
