Secretary of State- Hillary Clinton

Dick Morris laughed at the idea. Hillary Clinton wouldn't be Secretary of State and she could not make the grade because of Bill Clinton's international dealings. No one gets them all right, Dick. Hillary Clinton plans to accept the job of secretary of state offered by Barack Obama, who is reaching out to former rivals to build a broad coalition administration. Who would have THUNK it?

I've said for more than a year now that Obama has the "opportunity" to be reconciliator. Obviously a bridge for national race relations and a bridge for religious tolerance. He is the epitome of both and he is hated by those who are racists and religious fundamentalists. But, we know that don't we? What we don't know is IF he will follow through or fall prey to the pressures that so many administrations do.

Selecting Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State sends a good message!

Obama's advisers have begun looking into Bill Clinton's foundation, which distributes millions of dollars to Africa to help with development, to ensure that there is no conflict of interest. But Democrats do not believe that the vetting is likely to be a problem. Clinton would be well placed to become the country's dominant voice in foreign affairs, replacing Condoleezza Rice. Since being elected senator for New York, she has specialised in foreign affairs and defence. Although she supported the war in Iraq, she and Obama basically agree on a withdrawal of American troops.

Meeting today with John McCain sends a good message.

JohnMcCain has many programs and desires that are middle of the road which Obama would be wise to reach out to and work with for the good of the nation. It seems that people are drawn to Obama. He represents HOPE and even after being elected, the demand to get a glimpse of what he's about is amazing.

Barack Obama's first televised post-election interview gave Sunday night's "60 Minutes" its biggest audience in at least nine years. The CBS News program was seen by 24.5 million viewers and earned a 6.4 preliminary adults 18-49 rating. That marks the show's largest viewership since 1999.

I would be surprised to see Sarah Palin offered the job of Secretary of Energy or a new Secretary Office of say "Special Needs".  :-)

So, on to the next news cycle and more insight into just who this man MIGHT BE!    :-)

As a spiritual-futurist, I interpret current events in light of possible macro-universal forces at play leading up to 2012, but not limited to it.
