Cell Phone Reverse Lookups - How Much Should These Services Cost?

First off, you need to understand that cell phone lookup services are expensive. Cell phone numbers are not in the public domain (i.e. they are not freely available), and therefore building a database of millions of cell phone numbers is not cheap. To build a database would take tens of thousands of dollars, plus a full time staff to maintain it.

The price to access these databases typically varies. If you want to just do a onetime look up for one number, then the price will be a lot less. You can usually do one time lookups for only about $15. This will give you a full report about the owner of the number, from their name, address, birthday, relatives and neighbors. Good services also offer a guarantee so that they refund your money if the search gives no results.

If you want to do more than one look up (i.e. keep your membership for a time period), then the price is higher. The most popular service, and the one I recommend most highly on my site, charges $39.95 for a one year membership. This gives you a full report for each number you look up, and you can do an unlimited number of searches in your yearly membership. You could look up every single phone number on your wife's phone if you wanted to.

Remember, cell phone directories are not cheap to make and maintain. Your one time or yearly fee will cover the time and energy the service's staff put into getting information and keeping it up to date for the database. Considering the amount of effort that goes into many of the better services, some of the prices you'll get are very reasonable. Cell phone directory operators can afford to keep the cost low due to the high demand and volume of customers they get.

Also keep in mind that good directories will offer a 100% guarantee. This means that if your search returns no results, then you get your money back. Essentially, you have nothing to lose. This kind of guarantee is only fair and ensures that you get your money's worth out of the service.

Overall, you should go for reasonable prices services that offer a guarantee. Not all of them are good (some of them are just junk), and so you need to be careful. That is why on my website I provide unbiased, free reviews of the best phone number lookup services.
