Whether you are happy or bothered, it is wise for any Christian individual to enrich his or her spiritual lives by reading the Bible verses. However, thousands of verses on the Bible pages, it could be difficult finding the one you have been looking for.

Here are some of the steps you can do to start searching for Bible verses:

1. Pray and open.

One of the commonly used techniques of many-though not highly recommended-is the random opening of the pages. Usually, they fervently pray for guidance of the Holy Spirit and hope that God will lead them to the right page once they open up the Bible. They may run their fingers through the page until they feel the urge to stop. The lines that their fingers point out are then considered to be the Bible verse for them.

2. Follow the guide.

The Church does have its own guide when it comes to Bible reading. In fact, these guides can already be downloaded through the Internet. The advantage of using your Bible guide is the Bible verses usually complement with one another-from the first reading down to the Gospel. It helps you understand the Bible so much better and further appreciate how the books written in different time lines seem to deliver the same powerful message.

Guides can come in a variety of forms. There are guides for the week, month, or year. You can simply choose which one you prefer. You can also find those that permit you to read the Bible the entire year.

3. Read page by page.

The Bible, though powerful, is still a book, and you can opt to read them page by page. However, you should be mature enough before you do so. This is because the books are not really arranged in chronological order. Moreover, the days of the Old Testament are filled with turmoil and suffering. The Bible verses may frustrate, disappoint, shock, or traumatized you into thinking that you have an angry god. If you wish to read the book by page, make sure that you can start with the New Testament.

4. Request for a verse.

Another random method of getting Bible verses is making a request. You can ask a friend, family member, or just basically anyone to provide you the first verse that comes into his or her mind. The logic here is that you believe that the Holy Spirit is going to use someone to provide you with the verses you need. You can then look the one provided to you in the Internet or in the Bible.

5. Type random verses.

You can also search for Bible verses online, especially through search engines. The catch here is you are going to do it randomly. Here is what you are going to do: Concentrate and clear your mind. Think of the first Bible verse that you can think about. Type it in the search function. If it is a real verse, then you can definitely find the lines. You can then interpret its meaning based on what you know about God and what you are going through.
