As a child Britney's singing and dancing talent was obvious. She trained as a gymnast at an early age and even competed on a state level. Britney Spears was born on December 2, 1981 at McComb, Mississippi. Britney's parents James was in construction and her mom Lynne Irene was a school teacher. Her parents later helped Britney build her Empire. Her brother currently manages the merchandising part of the "Britney Spears Empire."

In 1998 Britney Spears musical album debut "Baby One More" was released and hit number one on the billboard charts. The albums success was greatly due to the popularity of her provocative MTV video "Baby One More time" where she wore a shortened school uniform.  The album was a success selling over 1.5 million albums in one week. The release of her second album "Oops! I did it again" was also a major success also selling millions of copies. Britney Spears had become a pop icon and considered a queen of pop, with the growth of her popularity Pepsi signed Britney for a million dollar deal.

After much success in her career Britney Spears started having some turbulent times. She married a former High School friend in Vegas. The marriage was later annulled lasting a total of 55 hours. Later that year, she married Kevin Federline and gave birth to two children. The rocky marriage with Kevin ended in ugly court hearings and Britney losing custody to her children.

Although she has had her ups and downs Britney continues to rebound and is currently working on a new album. Her music is still among the most popular internet searches and MP3 downloads.
