A pink netbook and pink laptop are favorite choices for many women. Popularity for these computers has vastly grown. Some find it hard to choose between the two computers.

If you happen to be one of those persons, here is a brief look at the fundamental differences between the two. These points are intended to help you decide whether a pink netbook or pink laptop would suit you better.

A compact laptop, or scaled down laptop, is often terminology that a lot of people use when referring to a netbook. Two of its most popular features are lightweight and small size, which is an important consideration for someone who needs to frequently carry a computer as they go about their daily routine.

The overall design has been geared toward basic computer needs. For those who need to perform resource intensive applications, it is not a good fit. But if your needs are rather basic, such as web surfing, email, multi-media and basic applications, then you should be OK. Lesser resources do translate into a lower price, which is a big consideration for a lot of people where money is a major issue.

Screen size is another consideration. Most often you will find the range to be between 7-10 inches, with a lower resolution. It often has a smaller keyboard than a laptop. Large handed people may find this to be a problem.

Many are configured with a solid-state drive, which happens to be smaller than the normal hard drive found in laptops. However, because it is smaller this is another factor that contributes to making it lightweight.

When it comes to upgrading, generally you are limited. However, if you are looking for a computer that can handle basic computer requirements and is lightweight making it easy to carry, then give careful consideration to a pink netbook.
