Tourist from all over the world visit Kenya and Tanzania to engage in the most thrilling adventure of all the migration of the wildebeest every year. This is an event not to be missed by anyone which only happens at the same place well almost. The numbers rise vary year as each country spends millions of shillings to market their country as the best preferred one to the gateway of this event.

The marketing departments not only for the 2 countries but even in other countries who market Kenya tourism packages use the best of the clips or films to show the travelers what they expect to see, unlike in the olden golden days where a letter could fulfill the message of say 'the migration may happened in about 2 weeks-please come' now the tourists want to see the actual migration of what they expect to see. Upon arrival the story is very different some wonder why the drivers or guides have to wait for over 30 minutes at one single spot waiting for the wildlife to migrate.

Poor guides they purely work on their faith and pray for a miracle to happen when they stop. Luckily sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. It would be a thrilling experience to see what one saw on the screen but then so often than not it does not happen. My advice to tourists and travel agents in Kenya to have an open mind that nature controls the wildlife and not the people. Have you ever wondered why the wildlife crosses from one country to the other? What factors are leading to this move and in that particular manner?

May be to solve all this the video company's should add a disclaimer at the end reading like this the views and content of this video/clip do not necessarily represent the views nor decision of the wildebeests on when to cross the river'. Enjoy your Kenya safari tours.
