A combination of low price and heaps of features keeps this sewing machine at the top of many bestseller lists. Many users report it's ease of use from experienced users to beginners.

It is possible to pay several hundred dollars for a sewing machine and not get as many options and features as you get here. Making the Brother CS6000I one of the best equipped and affordable machines on the market.

The automated stitch control and speed adjustment do not require the foot pedal control, stitch count and selection are great and this machine will easily deal with quilting helped by an extra wide work area. An automatic needle threading system, 7 different styles of 1 step auto-sizing buttonholes and twin needle sewing.

All this combined with the machine coming complete with a whole host of fantastic accessories that you would have to pay extra for with many other machines costing two or three times as much. And supplied with a hard cover case as standard.

Stitch count is given away in the brother title, 60 stitches, yes that's not a typo, sixty stitches. For a machine in this price range that is considerable. Both Stitch length and width are variable, up to 7mm for some stitches, whereas most comparable machines only offer 5mm.

One of the few machines to offer dial selection for speed control the brother CS6000I over delivers with it's ease of use. The list of functions is almost endless but here are a few:
LCD display with button control stitch selection
Extra wide work table to assist with large projects
1-touch start/stop and reverse functions
Easy automatic needle threading
Quick-Set Bobbin (trademarked) with horizontal loading
One-touch start/stop and reverse features
Free-arm sewing machine
Electronic speed control
Same goes for accessories:
Foot controller
Extra spool pin
Built in LED work light
3 needles
3 bobbins
Quilting guide

From the hundreds of reviews available for this machine the cons can be counted on one hand. Two that I did find however were as follows.
A small number of users mentioned that the light was not bright enough for working, this however has been offset by some saying the light was too bright. Make of that what you will.
There have also been a small number of complaints about jamming, most of which have been solved by a change of thread. One person noted that the jamming she experienced was in fact down to human error and once she changed what she was doing the problem was resolved.
