It's my first call of the New Year with Destiny Blaine. My editor and I called her to tell her Happy New Year and discovered she was in unusually high spirits. Who could blame her? She had just received two very handsome contracts and things couldn't be going any better for Ms. Blaine.

Destiny Blaine is an author of erotica romance and seems to be "catching some incredible breaks" with her stories and to hear her tell it, that's what she's been able to do. We think she's exactly what the world of erotica romance needed.

Her contracts today came from Mardi Gras Publishing and once again, they've contracted her for a series. Defining Bliss is a short story which could've easily gone in a collection or anthology which may have been the original intended purpose. Although, an idea had been taking shape in Blaine's mind for some time. Defining Bliss became Book One of the Truth Chronicles.

Defining Bliss is a unique concept and Blaine described it as follows: "Defining Bliss is a compilation of several "truths" from various young women placed into one character's life. Remy, is the character who emerges with her version of the truth about marriage and tries throughout the short story to provide young women contemplating marriage, another viewpoint about matrimony."

In my opinion, The Truth Chronicles series will be a hit for Blaine among married women and those contemplating marriage. Those women who are divorced will love it and Blaine is definitely going to score big with her volumes of sarcasm and wit evident on every page.

The second manuscript contract she received today arrived for Summer Neighbors. Blaine's readers wanted more Destiny Blaine and when they asked, she delivered. Blaine's novella is one which promises to keep everyone intrigued. For those who love her short stories, Destiny's story promises to become a favorite read among readers this summer.

We are continually amazed by Blaine's energy. Just when we think she'll settle down to finish her first series; she secures another one which brought up the question. When will we see more of the first two series everyone loves?

Blaine was silent for a moment. "I'm thinking," she pauses for a minute more, "Labeled a Mistress is the second story in The Seductive Mistress titles and it is due out in February and Betrayal of a Mistress will follow right behind it. The other three aren't far behind."

Blaine has shared excerpts of her works-in-progress at some of the romance author chats and we are waiting on her to complete one of those works (hint) and it is one we're sure will be her all-time best. A futuristic novel of "at least 75,000 words," Blaine wants to hang onto it until it is perfect calling it her "baby."

The novel is another Destiny signature single-title but will be one to reach far into the heart of romance regardless of whether or not the intended audience is an erotica reading audience or not. In fact, some have speculated big things for the novel stating Blaine's futuristic novel could very well be her ticket. We've seen the excerpts so we're willing to go out on a limb here and leave you with this: Blaine's book could easily be one that will captivate the publishing world as another "million dollar baby" and we can't wait for her to finish it!
