China: Belle International to Distribute Geox
Hong Kong-listed footwear company Belle International is to distribute the Geox brand in mainland China, according to reports in the Italian financial press.
Finanza & Mercati said the two companies were poised to announce a deal for Geox shoes to be sold in Belle International's 8,355 outlets on the Chinese mainland.
Hong Kong Stock Exchange-listed Belle was the largest retailer of women's footwear in China during 2007, more than doubling its annual profits.
Geox footwear is distributed in Hong Kong and Macau by Mirabell, which also has stores in mainland China.
Mirabell was acquired by Belle International in April this year.
Geox did not respond to just-style requests for comment on the reports.
