One of the most popular holiday destinations along the Southern Costa Blanca coastline, Cabo Roig is a beautiful and desirable resort. Renowned for its clean sandy beaches, its lovely marina and its excellent strip of bars, shops and restaurants, Cabo Roig offers everything you need for a great family holiday. Though it is very busy during the summer months it is actually a superb location for a holiday any time of the year. Easy to reach from both Alicante and Murcia airports, Cabo Roig is handily placed for visiting other attractions along the Costa Blanca and Costa Calida.

Cabo Roig is well known for its amazing detached villas. On the beach-side of the busy N332 coastal road there are a large number of detached villas with beautifully landscaped gardens, many with their own private swimming pools. Some of the finest villas are those along the spectacular cliff walk to La Zenia, they all have fabulous views across to the resort of La Manga. Whilst enjoying this walk, you will really have the feel for "how the other half live" and it is fun to dream about perhaps one day owning one of these "millionaires" villas, but for most it remains just that - a dream. The prominent 16th century watchtower around which Cabo Roig grew is now incorporated in the famous restaurant which overlooks the fine marina.

There are a number of excellent beaches to visit whilst on a trip to Cabo Roig. The main beaches are Cala Caleta and Cala Capitan both very popular with holidaymakers. Also within easy reach are the beaches at Campoamor, La Zenia and Playa Flamenca. All of these beaches are kept very clean and are usually raked every day, they are also safe for children.

One of the most popular things to do whilst on a trip to Cabo Roig is to take the cliff walk along the coast from Cala Caleta to La Zenia. Some wonderful views can be enjoyed along this path and the cooling sea breeze is very welcome too, during the hot summer months. You might even try the reverse trip and start in La Zenia, making your way back to Cabo Roig and at the end you can enjoy an iced drink in the beach bar at Cala Caleta.

Cabo Roig the whole of the Costa Blanca, enjoys a wonderful climate and it is claimed to be the most temperate region in the whole of Spain. The area enjoys well over 300 days of sun each year and has an average temperature of approximately 20 degrees centigrade. There is very little rainfall in Cabo Roig and what does fall occurs mostly during the winter months (mostly in November and February). For those who don't like it too hot, May and October are perhaps the most pleasant months to visit, sun worshippers will hit the beaches of Cabo Roig in July and August and "bake" in temperatures that can reach 40 degrees centigrade.

For your evening entertainment you will probably want to head for the popular Cabo Roig "strip" (also known as Aguamarina Strip), here you will find a mind-boggling variety of bars and restaurants offering plenty of entertainment and culinary delights. There are also an increasing number of shops opening up although the strip is still missing a big supermarket.

The list of things to do in and around Cabo Roig is endless, here are just a few suggestions - take a trip into the nearby town of Torrevieja and visit the huge Friday market (the biggest in the region), in the afternoon take the kids to the Aqua Splash Park (Aquopolis) with its enormous water slides and lovely picnic area. Visit one of the many ancient Spanish cities in the region, choose from Murcia, Orihuela, Cartagena, Elche or Alicante - all have a good selection of attractions that are worth a visit. Try out the Go-Karts at Punta Prima, great fun for kids and adults, or visit the nearest circus - there are plenty to choose from during the busy summer months.

Cabo Roig a beautiful place to be - no wonder they call it "the jewel of the Costa Blanca".

Cabo Roig is in an ideal location close to the AP-7 motorway and within an easy drive of both Alicante and Murcia airports. If coming from Alicante get off at junction 763 (La Zenia), if coming from Murcia get off at junction 768 (Dehesa de Campoamor). You will find Cabo Roig on the N-332 coast road.
