Living Now

Eckhart Tolle broke onto the literary scene with a powerful book entitled, The Power Of Now. Many have begun to experience the intellectual concept, but few are living the emotional, psychological, or spiritual aspects of the reality. It's so much easier to give mental assent to something than it is to experience it.

The saga has asked, "If dreams were for sale, what would you buy"?

What indeed.

What we stumble over in plain sight is that most of the dreams are FREE. Too often we are looking for what we already are! I can't get or find what I already am. People everywhere are searching for love and yet we ARE love because the Spirit of God dwells within us. We simply refuse to believe or act like who we really are.

We want security and yet we already have it in the assurances that God, the Creator of the universe loves us and will never, ever forsake us. Too much of our time and energy is spent living not in the moment, the NOW, but in the PAST. We worry that things that we've done, and yet only we know of them, will come to light and people won't like us. Guilt of things past visit our inner thoughts all too frequently.

If we're not obsessing over our guilt for the past, we're worrying about what tomorrow might bring. Will we have enough money for the car payment, enough to get through the end of the month grocery needs, and will there be money for our kids college. So much energy put into stressing about things of which most will never happen.

But what about NOW? This moment as you read this? You are alive, you are breathing, and you have access to the One that has the power to sustain all life. LIVE THERE.

Just BE! Now everything is okay!
