Beginner Golf Instruction

The most probable question a golfing beginner is bound to ask himself would have to do with the expense of the game. Most beginner golf programs aim to help answer such questions.

Golf can get as expensive as you want to make it. You can play a round of golf for $300, or get something a lot cheaper from somewhere as near as your neighborhood club. The cost of the game, most often than not, depends on the golf market where you live. The next query that is soon to follow would be regarding the dress code. Most courses do have dress codes, but this depends on the type of club. The score-keeping question is bound to pop up too; in golf it is the lowest score that wins, unlike the other sports. It is a simple task. All you have to do is count your strokes and at the end of each, add them up and make a note of it. Add up the strokes for each hole at the end of the round and that?s your golf score.

Every beginner gets cold feet while thinking of his first time on the greens, but the only way to overcome this embarrassment is to grab a bucket of balls and practice at a driving range. It's best to join cheap group programs or look around for good prices. A beginner might also like to know what the numbers on the ball mean. They usually mean nothing, and are really there for identification purposes if they are single digits. If they have a 300 or a 400 written on them, that indicates the number of dimples on the ball. Instructions pertaining to the cost of golf clubs are very valuable too. The most expensive ones range from $300 to $600, and golf balls retail for about $60 per dozen. You can also get them cheaper if you look around.

This is all a beginner needs to get started, and if you are searching for swing tips and putting stances, you can find them online.
