Do you want to know how to improve your click through rate? I will give you three simple tips that will improve your click through rate. How do I know? Well, I use them all and I have seen, and continue to see, the results.

Tip #1: Use your keyword in your headline. If you are working with a large keyword list, it can be a pain to ensure that your keyword appears in the headline. To make it happen, you will likely need to create a number of ad groups. It may help to have a "dominant" keyword in each ad group. This can be the word you make sure is in your headline.

It is important to have the keyword the user is searching for in your headline because Google rewards this. Including your keyword in your title increases your relevancy, which will decrease your costs and will increase your click through rate.

Tip #2: Use your keyword in your description. You absolutely must use your keyword at least once in the body of your advertisement. As with the tip above, Google rewards this. Your keyword will be bolded. This makes it stand out to the user. Your relevancy will be increased. Your costs will be lower. You will get more clicks.

Tip #3: Test, re-test, and test again. Run multiple ads. Gauge the results. Tweak a word here or there. Use different punctuation. Small changes can make a big difference. When you think it's working great, test it some more. There is always room for improvement.

There are many things you can do to improve your click through rate (CTR). Improving your click through rate will improve your sales and can even reduce your costs (as Google will see your ad as more relevant). Three of my favorite -- and easiest -- tips are to include your keyword in your title, include it in your description, and to test, test, test.
