Article Writing Tips - Readability Part I

There are many article tips you could be given to write, promote and market your articles, but perhaps one of the most important is how to make your articles more readable. The more readable your article, the more likelihood of the reader wanting to click on your website link to find out more, and also to copy your article to their site and provide you with both exposure and a link back to your website.

It is difficult to many to write in English, let alone make their article easily readable and understood, and it's that word 'understood' that is the primary objective of any article writer. You have got to write clearly about the subject of the article, and make it easy for the reader to understand what you are writing.

The first aspect of your article seen by the reader is your title. In fact this is seen before the article itself is visible, since it is only the title, and perhaps a summary of the article, that appears in search engine listings and in the results of directory searches. It should state clearly what the article is about and persuade the reader that the content of your article could be valuable to them.

Then use the keyword of the article in the first paragraph, or at least the first 100 letters, so that confirmation is given to the readers that you are indeed writing about the topic indicated by the title. If you fail to do this, they might take the view that your title is misleading, and click back to find something more relevant to their needs. However, once they start reading, you must make it easy for them to read. Not just to understand, but to read.
